Youth until 50, 

with drugs and intoxicant beverage, to salve the hard uphill half of life, then suddenly

 the rush of race to bottom at second half of life, where the freedom from employment, by hateful employers that want to be surrounded with adolescents and young women, not seniors…for obvious reasons.

The second-half-of lifers,

 so happy from liberation from labour, suddenly against ALL drugs, 

because they only depress happy retired people, 

where drugs and intoxicants make an escape for the pre 50's.
