My dad had an electronics shop, he sold TVs in 1959, one of the first TV vendors in Australia. When I was born I was the first experiment in nanny TV, put in front of TV to give my parents respite from a wailing baby. Unfortunately for me in 1964, at birth, TV featured tobacco cigarette advertisements every 10 minutes on TV programming, I have millions of brain cells [synapses] dedicated to the ‘pleasure’ and social status of smoking, formed during my formative childhood, nannyed by TV.
