Homosexuality has been illegal for thousands of years, or subject to honour killing by family members, naturally gay men took refuge in the Church. Denied relations with other men and not desiring women, they turned to instinctive urges by grooming and raping children who assisted in the liturgy. If the Church had a duty of care, it would allow priests to marry women and for women to be ordinated, the Anglican church has and has no problems with systemic pedophilia.
