THE CATHOLIC CHURCH NEVER PROVIDED A SINGLE THING TO THE POOR, in fact it's Church building sucked up every cent of civic finance and left it's places of influence with no roads, no sewers and no water supply…London got a sewer system in 1850, it got its water from the Thames, Pre -Christian Rome had a sewer system and water over aqueducts 2000 years before Christian London finally recaptured the spirit of Roman civil amenity. Yes the church gave a crust of bread and a mouthful of wine in Eucharist as a way to induct street urchins into fellowship by temporary drunkenness. Yes yes orphans were taken care of by the church, because indoctrinating children in orthodoxy ensured people are even brainwashed in modern times to strict religiosity and then orphanages provided victims for the monstrous mechanical appetite for pedophilia, of Catholic clergy. Churches took care of their own, clerics lived a life of magnificence with roomy rectorys next to the church, waited on by slavish Nuns. Friars were well catered for in monasteries, and together with exorbitant church building program, left little money for anybody else, especially the public poor, who were left to secular charity or government employment or welfare, just like the poor receive nil from the church and everything to survive from secular welfare and charity, to this day. The Catholic Church is the richest institution on Earth, it's wealth only benefits the clerical order, the poor live or die by government welfare.
