Deepseek AI is deploying a data centre with 160,000 huawei chips that are a fraction of the cost of Invidia compute chips and there is no lag in supply due to huge demand for Invidia chips. China can set up huge data centres, much faster than the West at a fraction of compute cost with pennies for Huawei chips compared to hundreds of dollars for Invidia chips, that you have to stand in line to get at some point down the time line of deployment of data centre.
