Jesus had previous interactions with the Money Changer, in the temple when he was a young tradesman, education holidaying in India and in the Roman Empire [he recounted in ministry as ‘the Prodigal son’]. He changed his money with the money changer, who may have given him some counterfeit foreign currency to spend in foreign lands, or he short changed him on the exchange, that then herniated later as self proclaimed itinerant Rabbi, supported by the former followers of John a Baptist, re-branding his gripe with the devious money changer, as an act of spiritual piety.
