I studied ‘Ethics’ under Senior Lecturer Dr Stephen Cohen for 3 years at University of NSW. He assured us we would get jobs as ‘Ethical Consultants’ to business and Government. There are no jobs for ethicists, for either Business or Government in Australia. Means the voluntarism of Ethics is an academic fantasy, not a reality, also suggests a compulsory moral order is required to instil empathy in otherwise unchained economism that degenerates into Kleptomania, without the rigours of competitive discipline that forces business and people to act conscientiously in offering value propositions that are socially and personally effective in maximising happiness for the maximum number, not miserating many for the greed of the few, or designed to maximise market power not consumer satisfaction.
